- My focus is more magical than religious, although I am very interested in religious expression. I'm more concerned with orthopraxy over orthodoxy, so I like to focus on what works more than why it works or whose gods deserve the credit.
I tend to be wary of people with overly optimistic or romantic views of reality. Life is not all love and happiness, and the world does not exist to comfort your emotional wounds. I believe it to be unfortunate that so many people today are so caught up in their own self-pity and who is to blame for it that they neglect to actually come up with solutions to their problems, be they material or magical. It's nice to have people to help and support you, and it's good to do so for others, but it's a liability to everybody to expect everyone to rescue you every time you mess up.
